Well I finally did it! I have been wanting to update this blog for a long time now and just kept putting it off. I have been documenting the pregnancy, but nothing has made it onto the blog. This morning we woke up to this...
and I decided it was time to finally get the blog all updated. (Yeah, so much for Spring.)
We have been pretty busy in the "Burg" and I am regretting not writing all the last few months events down because we have had some pretty exciting things happen! We found out we were pregnant at the end of October, I surprised Brady on his birthday with the news! We had an awesome holiday season, it may have been my favorite one ever. And this semester has been non-stop, Brady is doing a program called IBC, which requires him to "run" a business on campus. He was put in a group assigned to sell a food and they sell pretzel bites called Pinch of Salt. They are tasty, but I don't think he would care if he ever ate another pretzel again.
We are in schedule mode, waking up at 4:45 every morning to go to the gym (OK, he does this every morning...I do this about 3 times a week) then he makes breakfast while I get ready, he is off to school around 7:45 and I head to work at 8:30. We are lucky enough that most days we have lunch together at 12:30 and then Brady is usually working the booth in the afternoon and I head back to work until about 6. I am blessed that most days I get home and Brady has a tasty dinner all made up for us and then it is homework/cleaning/running errands until we hit the sack at about 9:30. That is our life and then we wake up and do it all over again. The last few weeks we added in a second job, cleaning the credit union I work at for a couple of hours, 3 times a week. Then we come home and I am ready to crash! But we are grateful to have the little extra income for when the baby comes.
So now that I am all caught up hopefully it will stay that way and in 93 days I can document our life as a family of THREE!
Sunday, March 30, 2014
twenty-six weeks.
Total Weight Gain: 13
pounds
Maternity Clothes? No,
I am really hoping I won’t have to, but my closet is getting limited.
Stretch Marks? No
Sleep: Pretty
rough this week and I haven’t been able to fall into a “deep” sleep, so I just
kind of toss and turn and lay there feeling baby move. He is a night owl!
Best Moment of the
Week: Finally finding the most perfect dresser. I love love love it and it
was such a good deal. Needless to say, I am one happy girl! Another great
moment was realizing that we are in double digits and passed the 100 day mark to D-day!
Miss Anything?
No!
Movement: TONS. I
told Brady I think we hit a point where I can feel EVERYTHING! His little arms,
legs, bum, head, elbows and knees are all over the place and he is a mover and
shaker. He gets the hiccups a few times a week and likes to push really hard
and then quits (I think he is stretching) it is my favorite J When he pushes and I
put my hand there its neat to know it won’t be long until his little hand is
wrapped around my finger.
Food Cravings: Applesauce,
Nutella, Graham Crackers, Peanut Butter and Lemon flavored EVERYTHING
Anything making you
queasy or sick? Certain things still smell so weird to me.
Gender: Boy!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: He is
in my ribs, which isn't too bad yet, but I do start to feel achy around
mid afternoon. I am also always congested still in the mornings and serious hip
pain all the time!
Belly Button In or
Out? Out
Wedding Rings On or
Off? On
Happy or Moody Most
of The Time: So happy! Except I did have one “pregnancy meltdown” moment
last night, I was mopping the floor and knocked the bucket over and water went
everywhere and I started bawling over it. Brady quickly started helping me
clean it up and was probably thinking I needed mental help. About 5 minutes I
was over it and wondered what just happened?
Looking Forward To: 2
weeks and we are officially in the third trimester!!!twenty-five weeks.
Total Weight Gain: 13
pounds
Maternity Clothes? No
Stretch Marks? Nope
Sleep: I was
starting to feel a lot better about sleep and had a couple of fairly good
nights but the last couple have been ROUGH!
Best Moment of the
Week: My sister had her baby! He is absolutely adorable and a whole new
wave of emotions came over me that our little guy will be here soon! I can’t
wait to meet and snuggle him.
Miss Anything? No,
I really am liking pregnancy!
Movement: Tons!!!
Wow, we hit a new milestone with movements, the other day I was laughing out
loud because of all his dancing moves. It was so fun and my favorite part of
pregnancy.
Food Cravings: Applesauce,
Nutella, fruit and lemon flavored everything
Anything making you
queasy or sick? Just the smell of my coats…weird? Every time I put one on I
think it smells really weird! I am definitely washing everyone of them this
weekend, and then maybe soon I can pack them up and we can have Spring weather?
Gender: BOY!!!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Round
ligament pain returned, restless nights, and the rib pain is here…oh my goodness
it takes my breath away. It is pretty painful.
Belly Button In or
Out? Sticking Out
Wedding Rings On or
Off? On
Happy or Moody Most
of The Time: Happy!
Looking Forward To: Still
in search of a dresser for the baby room, I am getting so frustrated I can’t
find one because I really want to do this project!twenty-four weeks.
Total Weight Gain: 11 Pounds
Maternity Clothes? No
Stretch Marks?
Nope
Sleep: Actually a
little better this week! I have found a position on my stomach with pillows set
a certain way that support the belly and allow me to ease the hip pain.
Best Moment of the
Week: Seeing baby boy a couple of times! It was a hard week and really
emotional as we found out that he has calcium deposits on his heart that might
could possibly be a defect. We were referred to a specialist the next day. We
are super grateful for the doctors for being so proactive and after an amazing
thorough anatomy scan they are optimistic that it is going to be ok. It was
really fun to see him with the hiccups, flipping around and at one point he
even folded himself in half and his little legs were on top of him! We got a
few 3D pictures but they were rough because of his hiccups through the
ultrasound. We love him so much and are just really grateful for everyone’s
prayers.
Miss Anything? A
day without worrying!
Movement: Yes, I
love every single roll, kick, punch and hiccup. The best part of pregnancy!
Food Cravings: Sweets,
worst and best craving ever!
Anything making you
queasy or sick? Smells seem to be bothering me again! Our apartment smells
weird, bacon smells weird, fish smells weird, chicken smells weird.
Gender: Sweet,
sweet baby boy
Labor Signs: No,
thankfully
Symptoms: My face
is behaving a little better, not as many breakouts and my rash is clearing. Craving those sweets, kicks,
and emotional!

Looking Forward To: Finding
a dresser to re-due for the baby room!twenty-three weeks.
Total Weight Gain: around
10 pounds…weigh in next week at our appointment
Maternity Clothes? None
yet!
Stretch Marks? No
Sleep: I dread
going to bed every night cause I know I am going to wake up with the worst sore
hips and sure enough I have not been disappointed. Every single morning I am so
sore and stiff.
Best Moment of the
Week: Feeling how active he is getting! I used to just feel him mostly at
night or in the morning but now at work and during the day he is a
kicking/punching machine. I know these are going to get harder but I don’t
care, I love feeling him and knowing everything is ok! I took a sick day
earlier this week and was soaking my sore hips in the tub and I could literally
see little bumps and rolls really distinctly. It was crazy! And another
exciting thing this week, my sister in law found out she is having a boy too!
They are due about 4 weeks from each other. I am excited for them to be little
buddies!
Miss Anything? Just
not being sore, but other than that I think I am liking pregnancy!
Movement: Tons!!
Food Cravings: Still
just my veggie sandwiches, Nutella and graham crackers and fruit
Anything making you
queasy or sick? No!
Gender: Boy J
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: I am
still pretty congested in the mornings, I have been this whole pregnancy and I
am just convinced I will be until he is born. I am also a little tired of the
rash on the side of my face, it is so irritating and for the most part my skin
is actually clear, it just doesn't really look like it with this rash.
Belly Button In or
Out? Out and pushing out more every day!
Wedding Rings On or
Off? On
Happy or Moody Most
of The Time: Pretty happy this week!
Looking Forward To: Going
home for our nephew’s first birthday party and doing baby shopping with my
sister-in-laws!twenty-two weeks.
Total Weight Gain: 9 pounds! Whoa mama!
Maternity Clothes? No,
none yet. Just loving leggings and t-shirts
Stretch Marks? no
Sleep: a little
better the last couple of nights. I have been adjusting a couple different
pillows under my hips, belly and back and one between my legs. It is quite the
process especially when I have to get up to go the bathroom to arrange it all
over again but I haven’t been quite as sore in the mornings…just somewhat! Haha
excited for the little things right?
Best Moment of the
Week: Brady’s parents came up and visited for a couple days and we had a
blast and once again just reminded us how hard it is to live away from loved
ones! But we had a really good time and Susan brought me the cutest burp cloths
and we went baby boy shopping…oh what fun! We also found the best deal on a
swing and it was so fun to come home from work and it was set up in the living
room!
Miss Anything? Sleep.
Movement: Lots
more but I am really looking forward to being able to feel him constantly. I
love every little kick and punch and they are the most reassuring feeling.
Food Cravings: Still
veggie sandwiches, Brady and I stopped at a little sandwich shop here in
Rexburg and got the BLT, they loaded it with sprouts and tomatoes and it was
heavenly! And hot sauce, bananas and chocolate, and avocados.
Anything making you
queasy or sick? No, feeling great!
Gender: Sweet
sweet baby boy!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: I am
congested every morning and I get light headed easily after I work out if I
stand up to fast, big growing belly and I get so emotional with sentimental stuff

Best Moment of the
Week: Going baby boy shopping and buying little outfits! This little guy is
going to be stylin’. The other night I was having Brady feel him kick and
then we just watched my stomach and SAW the kicks…It was so crazy!

good nights sleep. Ha! This has only begun, I know, I know.

am starting to dread bedtime and all I do is toss and turn and my hips just
ache so bad I can’t sleep. I talked to the Doctor about it today and she said
to but heat on them so I hope it helps.
Best Moment of the
Week: Finding out that we are having a sweet little BOY! I could not be
more excited it was one of the best experiences of my life. We are so in love

of The Time: So happy this week, and tired
Looking Forward To: baby
boy shopping!nineteen weeks.
How Far Along? 19
weeks! I seriously cannot believe we are almost halfway there!
Total Weight Gain: 6
pounds. Brady and I weighed ourselves like we owned it at the grocery store. haha According the pregnancy
weight tracker I am right on track
Maternity Clothes? Nope,
but I officially can’t button one of my low rise slacks and I think my time is
limited in pencil skirts, they are feeling so tight. It should get interesting
trying to find outfits for work really soon.
Stretch Marks? No
Sleep: Ugh,
horrible. I have the worst restless legs, Charlie horses in my calves a few
times a week and I always wake up every couple of hours super stiff from
sleeping on my side and have to get a drink because my mouth gets so dry.
Best Moment of the
Week: Dad finally felt a kick! It was so great I loved it and he loved it. We were laying on the coach watching the Olympics and I could feel the baby moving so I put his hand on my stomach and the baby gave him a great big kick!

Food Cravings: Water…I

Happy or Moody Most
of The Time: Happy and TIRED
Looking Forward To: Next
weeks ultrasound!!!!!eighteen weeks.
Total Weight Gain: 4
Pounds, for the first time in pregnancy I have been ravenous! SO I am sure at
our appointment it will be like 10
Maternity Clothes? No, things are snug but still fitting OK
Stretch Marks? No
Sleep: Off and
On, some nights I sleep pretty good until I have to wake up to go the bathroom
and some nights I am tossing and turning trying to get comfortable. This
sleeping on my left side is killing me, I always wake up with a sore left
shoulder.
Best Moment of the
Week: It was a pretty quiet week over here, but I am loving all the kicks
that are coming more often and feeling stronger. I ate way to many tootsie
rolls the other day and about ten minutes later this baby went on a crazy
kickin spree, It was so funny!
Miss Anything? Clear
skin, still breaking out around my mouth and jawline and I am soooo over it, I
know it’s hormonal but it is so frustrating.
Movement: Oh yes!
I can’t wait until Brady can feel them.
Food Cravings: We
went to a seminar and they had deli sandwiches, I gave all my turkey to Brady
and it was THE best veggie sandwich, I could probably eat one every day. I also
have been craving salty/sweet so I am loving pretzels in Nutella for a treat.
Anything making you
queasy or sick? For the first time Brady made a tuna sandwich and it didn't
make me want to gag. So maybe that is passing!
Gender: AH! 2
weeks, I seriously can’t stop counting down. This has been a really exciting
part of pregnancy. I am anxious for the 20 week ultrasound and announcing the
gender to family. I really don’t care anymore what he/she is…I just want a
healthy he/she.
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Acne, the worst symptom by far has been the crazy painful Charlie horses
I have woken up with, they wake me up and I am about in tears (which freaks
Brady out) and go away but then my calf is sore the next day. I HATE them.
Belly Button In or
Out? It is sooooo flat. It cracks me up, it looks really weird.
Wedding Rings On or
Off? ON
Happy or Moody Most
of The Time: Happy and moody….emotional? I hate it and I try to keep my
emotions in check but I feel so excited one minute and ready to cry the next.
It is frustrating.
Looking Forward To: 2
weeks! Boy or Girl????? And more baby shopping this weekend. Yay!seventeen weeks.
Total Weight Gain: 3+
pounds, my appetite is finally kicking it. I really have not been that hungry
during pregnancy but I think I surprised Brady with how much I ate at the taco
bus the other day-sooo good.
Maternity Clothes?
No, I did wear a pair of skinny jeans that felt more snug then usual though
Stretch Marks? No,
this would be nice if it was always my answer-not counting on it!
Sleep: Good, I am
getting better at sleeping on my side and it doesn't even bother me when I get
up to go to the bathroom. Now it’s just part of the deal. I hope I feel this
way every 2 hours in a few months!
Best Moment of the
Week: Finally the first little “flicks” from baby! I had been paying more
attention to everything I felt in my stomach and had noticed these little
flicks for a couple of days but honestly wasn't sure. I felt them about 3 times for a couple of days around where my uterus would be and I am pretty sure that is
her/him!
Miss Anything? Deli
Sandwiches, I am so sick of grilled cheese.
Movement: Yes! Finally!
Food Cravings: Still
wanting that Jimmy Johns gourmet veggie sandwich with extra veggies please! And
apples, the other day one of my co-workers was eating one and my mouth
literally started to salivate.
Anything making you
queasy or sick? Not really, just tuna
Gender: I am so
excited to find out in 3 weeks! It cannot come fast enough.
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Little
kicks and I really feel like my belly has popped this week, I was standing in
the bathroom after my shower the other night and was like, holy cow this is no
joke!
Belly Button In or
Out? Flatish
Wedding Rings On or
Off? On
Happy or Moody Most
of The Time: So happy, hormones are kicking in and I get all mushy and
teary eyed over so much and feeling healthy this week has helped a ton.

but the top button on my pants feels so much better undone!
Stretch Marks? Nope.

been trying to sleep more on my left side and it is not working out so well, I
toss and turn all night lately and then as soon as I do fall asleep I feel like
I wake up to go the bathroom.
Best Moment of the
Week: It was kind of a rough week. I was sicker than a dog a couple of
times and wanting to feel better. But I
do feel like I had more energy.

Sleep: Better. I
am getting more comfortable on my side and having lots of crazy vivid dreams,
it’s like watching a movie all night!
Best Moment of the
Week: Finally getting to hear the baby’s cute little heartbeat! And also
finding out that everything is good and normal, this is always a relief J
Miss Anything? No,
I am starting to enjoy pregnancy more and more
Movement: Sometimes
I think I may have felt a little “flutter” but then I think it is just my
stomach making wild bubbles. So, I have no idea!
Food Cravings: Still
veggie sandwiches from Jimmy Johns. I did have some tempura fried sushi the
other day and thought I had died and gone to heaven, holy crap that was good!
Anything making you
queasy or sick? Still just when Brady asks if I want a tuna fish sandwich
with him
Gender: I
honestly have no idea! I am really on the fence lately, which is fine with me
because at our appointment we set the date for our 20 week ultrasound to find
out the gender!!! I am beyond excited and counting down the days, I am sooooo
happy with either boy or girl, just anxious to find out so I can start doing some planning.
Labor Signs: No,

Looking Forward To: 4

feeling healthier. At the doctors I told her how miserable I was last week
(almost passed out, horrible stomach aches and nausea) she said I was probably
pretty dehydrated and should have gotten an IV and fluids-yikes! If it happens
again I have to go in and get fluids so I am drinking water like a mad woman!

It was so crazy and went from being surreal to real! I loved the feeling of
seeing “our” baby J

I think right now that is what I am most excited for!
