thirty-nine weeks.

How Far Along? 39 Weeks
Total Weight Gain: 23 Pounds
Maternity Clothes? No, but getting a little sad that I won’t be “dressing the bump” soon.
Stretch Marks? No
Sleep: I have never woken up so much during the night. I wake up about every two hours either starving or having to go to the bathroom. I guess it is pretty good preparation!
Best Moment of the Week: Brady’s parents, sister and our nephew came to visit over the weekend. We had a really good time and ate the best Thai food!
Miss Anything? Nope, just wishing I was missing being pregnant and holding a new baby in my arms J
Movement: Tons. He is so big and strong sometimes I feel like my stomach is going to burst.
Food Cravings: Thai food! Seriously, Thai Kitchen in Idaho Falls is so good.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Tuna and Onions
Gender: Baby Boy!
Labor Signs: I have had off and on mild contractions a few times and really bad lower back pain. That is a whole new ball game. At our 39 week appointment we found out that I am still 2 cent. Dilated and 75% effaced, the doctor did a membrane sweep to start things up a little bit but it has been a couple days and we are still waiting. Hopefully their won’t be a 40 week update and I won’t have to get induced.
Symptoms: See labor signs!
Belly Button In or Out? Out
Wedding Rings On or Off? On
Happy or Moody Most of The Time: Happy and emotional. So ready and so overwhelmed but mostly excited.

Looking Forward To: Heading to the hospital and bringing home baby!

thirty-eight weeks.

How Far Along? 38 weeks.
Total Weight Gain: 21 pounds
Maternity Clothes? Nope.
Stretch Marks? No.
Sleep: It has been worse that is for sure. Still lots of trips to the bathroom, sore hips and I have had lower back pain when I lay for too long.
Best Moment of the Week: I have been in serious nesting mode. It is a nice feeling to know our house is all put together and cleaner than ever. We are so ready to bring him home.
Miss Anything? I am going to miss being pregnant. It has been a rough journey and a lot harder than I ever imagined. My body had a rough time but I am grateful we have both been healthy and strong. There is nothing like feeling him move and kick and squirm. It has been an absolute incredible experience.
Movement: He is so big now that his movements can be a little painful, but he is moving great!
Food Cravings: Kari Ann’s (amazing Italian ice and gelato place) I am needing one so bad right now!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Tuna Fish and Onions
Gender: Boy!
Labor Signs: At our appointment yesterday I am still dilated to a 2 and 75% effaced. I have had a lot more pressure and lower back pain. I also get Braxton hicks when I go walking but they stop when I get home.
Symptoms: I think “labor signs” are a good symptom!
Belly Button In or Out? Out!
Wedding Rings On or Off? On!
Happy or Moody Most of The Time: Happy! I feel a little impatient at moments but it is just because I am so excited and ready to hold him!

Looking Forward To: The big day!

two years and millions to go.

Happy Happy Anniversary to us. It has been two whole years. Two years that have flown by. I feel like we have been married for years and at the same time it is like our wedding day was yesterday. However, I know things are different then what they used to be like. When we were married I was madly in love and now words cannot describe how much I love that babe of mine. I feel so blessed that he was the one I married. I am completely and totally obsessed with him. He makes me laugh, drives me crazy, makes me indescribably happy and is the better half of me. He is exactly what I need. Everyday.

I can't even begin to explain how excited I am for the next month and seeing our son in Brady's arms. I am grateful I get a mini Brady and know he will learn from an amazing father who will raise him to be strong, happy, healthy, active and have a testimony of the gospel.

I love our family more then anything else in this world and am so blessed. I am so excited for the adventures that we will experience together!

"If you want something to last forever, your treat it differently. You shield it and protect it. You never abuse it. You don't expose it to the elements. You don't make it common or ordinary, if it ever becomes tarnished, you lovingly polish it until it gleams like new. It becomes special because you have made it so, and it grows more beautiful and precious as time goes by."

thirty-six weeks.

How Far Along? 36 weeks! Officially 9 months pregnant!
Total Weight Gain: 22 Pounds
Maternity Clothes? Nope
Stretch Marks? No
Sleep: Definitely has been worse. This week hasn't been nearly as bad, thank goodness!
Best Moment of the Week: Realizing it could be baby month, feeling a lot better and being able to go for walks and setting up more of the baby items.
Miss Anything? I do miss some things, but pregnancy has been an amazing experience.
Movement: Oh yes, I can tell he is squished in there so lots of pokes and jabs and stretches
Food Cravings: Nothing too exciting, I can tell my stomach is really squished and I can’t handle a big meal very well.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Onions still are not sounding to great but other than that feeling good!
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: Not yet…
Symptoms: I have not only had hip pain this last week but have been so sore in my inner thighs. I can hardly lift my legs sometimes and if I sit for more than a half hour I waddle. Haha! Now I totally understand it!
Belly Button In or Out? Out
Wedding Rings On or Off? On
Happy or Moody Most of The Time: Happy, loving my time with Brady right now. We have had some fun date nights and hope to squeeze in a few more and celebrate our 2 year anniversary!

Looking Forward To: Baby Day.

Update. Crazy couple of weeks in May!

It has been a couple of crazy weeks and I have been behind on my blogging. So I thought I would write an update of what has been going on here in Rexburg. I had an awesome baby shower a couple of weeks ago and felt so blessed to see so many old friends and our baby was so spoiled! We are definitely feeling a little more prepared. I wish I had more pictures, I can’t believe I completely forgot during the shower. The only thing I managed to get a picture of was the cute decorations. My sister-in-laws and Mother-in-law made it perfect.
The next week was pretty hectic. We started it off by nearly blowing a tire on our way back to Rexburg. As we were leaving, Brady noticed that things just didn't feel right with our car and pulled over to find a major bulge out of one of the tires. We ended up swapping cars with his parents and they took our car in to get a new tire. Well, we knew after we had originally bought the tires that they were not the best but you do what you do to save money, right? Bad idea. We ended up having to replace all four tires! Grr. Very very frustrating. Especially when we found out we were going to have to buy all new tires I was picking up Brady to take him to the hospital for gall bladder surgery.
Brady has had some serious stomach aches for a long time and we have been searching for a solution. A couple weeks before we went in to have his gall bladder tested and the doctor recommended he have it removed. We are hoping it will solve his issues, fingers crossed! I don’t think either of us were prepared for his recovery, though. It was a long hard week as he was really sore and in pain. I took the next day off to be “nurse” and unfortunately didn’t end up being all that great help as I came down with Bronchitis. Not a fun combination with pregnancy, both Brady and I were a mess coughing and sneezing. I ended up having to take off the whole week from work and we laid around just trying to feel a little better. Friday night we decided we felt well enough to head to Burley so we could be there for one of his cousin’s baby shower, another cousin’s homecoming, and switch cars with his parents. It was really great to be able to celebrate these events with his family and to relax a little. We always have a really good time with his brother and sisters and made a campfire and barbecued.
When we got back Monday night we finally set up our crib! The weekend of my baby shower Brady’s mom and I spend the afternoon painting and refinishing the crib and it turned out so awesome! I can’t wait to finish the nursery. We have been busy working on things here and there and it is coming together. I will show a little sneak peek of the mobile and window above his crib and hopefully in a week or two I can reveal the whole thing!
First time we set it up! We ended up buying a used crib on KSL on our trip to Salt Lake and scored a great deal. It was a nice crib but I really wanted a vintage/white crib and make it all our own.
All done! It turned out so cute, better then I ever imagined! We used Annie Sloan chalk paint and finished with soft wax. I am in love with this stuff and can't wait to re-finish more pieces.

Little sneak peak! We scored that cute window at the DI for $5! And we made the mobile for $10, I am just loving it and can't wait to show more of the fun things we have done. (The banner is a little hint of his name...)

We are on the mend here and staying busy. Brady has a busy semester and I have a list of things I want to get done before the little guy arrives!

Thought I would throw a picture of these tasty cupcakes Brady made for his cousin's homecoming lunch! Way better then Hostess! He is seriously such a good cook (puts my cooking to shame). I have been thinking of posting some of his recipes cause they are so delicious. I am one lucky lady!

thirty-five weeks.

How Far Along? 35 weeks (ok almost 36…I am way behind)
Total Weight Gain: 21 pounds
Maternity Clothes? Nope.
Stretch Marks? No, but I feel so stretched. I don’t know where this little guy is going to grow!
Sleep: None. Ha! Really though, I am so sore laying down.
Best Moment of the Week: Setting up the nursery! We are just about finished and I am loving it.
Miss Anything? Sleep and energy.
Movement: All the time still! He still loves to stretch out all the time. He pushes his feet super hard on my right side and his bum on my left. He must be so cramped!
Food Cravings: Starting to lose my appetite because I feel like my stomach is so squished but one of the most suprising cravings I have had is hamburgers! Anyone who knows me knows I am not a big meat eater and have never been that into hamburgers but they have never tasted better!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Onions have started to really make me queasy.
Gender: Mini Brady
Labor Signs: I am so ready to say YES! Only a few more weeks J
Symptoms: The doctor said the baby is measuring right on track so that is a pretty good symptom! We can’t wait to meet and hold him.
Belly Button In or Out? Out
Wedding Rings On or Off? On
Happy or Moody Most of The Time: Happy but tired and feeling so awkward
Looking Forward To: Meeting our baby!!
